Austro Control GmbH
It has been responsible for air traffic control and air safety in Austrian airspace since 1 January 1994. There are as many as 3,000 controlled flights in Austrian airspace on some days, often at altitudes of 10,000 metres or more. Aided by state-of-the-art technology, the air traffic controllers of Austro Control bring planes into the right airways and ensure that they keep their distance from others.

- maintenance organisations holding an inspection licence under the 2010 Civil Aircraft and Civil Aviation Equipment Order (ZLLV 2010),
- development companies;
- airworthiness and certification,
- staff identity documents for civil aviation personnel,
- monitoring of compliance with aviation regulations,
- authorisation of flights into and out of Austrian airports and overflying Austria,
- search and rescue service,
- licensing and supervision of civil aviation training schools,
- operational and technical supervision of aviation companies – the air operator's certificate (AOC).
