Measures for the promotion in Austria
Austrian transport policy sees combined transport as a central approach to solving the problems arising from Austria's geographical and topographical situation in the field of road freight transport.
In view of the growing traffic flows in and through Austria, especially by road, Austria has taken early measures to promote environmentally friendly modes of transport such as combined transport.
The following measures aim at promoting combined transport:
- Financial support
investment aid, financing of terminal infrastructure, public service compensation

motor vehicle tax incentives
Fiscal measures (PDF, 104 KB) - Legal and Regulatory framework
