Guidelines for Sustainability Reporting (GRI) on Events
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has published a summary guide for sustainable development reports on events (GRI Event Organizers Sector Supplement).
The GRI supports all organisations in their sustainable development reporting and defines international standards that should be maintained when drafting these reports. Sustainable development reports are tools that help companies or institutions communicate their sustainability performance in a transparent manner.
The GRI provides a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world to report on events. The framework, including the reporting guidelines, sets out the principles and indicators that organisations can use to measure their economic, environmental and social performance As a result, agencies, PCOs, governments and companies that organise events are in a position to describe the ecological, social or economic impact of their activities using a standardised system.
