Substances of very high concern REACH
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) decides on the entry of a substance into the candidate list of substances of very high concern according to articles 57 and 58 of the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.
The Substances of Very High Concern are candidate substances for the authorisation procedure under REACH. The current list of these candidate substances is available on the website of ECHA.
Once added to this list of candidate substances, suppliers of products containing such substances in a concentration exceeding 0.1% by weight are, among other things, obligated to provide instructions for their buyers on the safe use of these substances (Article 33 REACH). ECHA has conducted an analysis of the products containing these substances.
